Stars for Starship

Our school councillors organised a Stars for Starship concert at school this week. Several of our Jump Jam teams performed routines as well as some of our talented gymnasts. There was also a special performance by none other than the staff of Motueka South!!

Starship Hospital is a childrens hospital in Auckland. The concert was to help raise money for Starship to buy a helicopter so patients can be airlifted quickly. Pupils were asked to donate a gold coin and they received a special "star" badge to wear for the day.
The staff dressed up in frog costumes and performed a routine to the music of "Who let the FROGS out!!
It sure got the crowd on their feet and made everyone laugh...
Miss Robinson said he was "a bit tired" after the performance and that she will probably have sore legs tomorrow after all that hopping around on stage!
Thankyou to Mrs Karetai who made the frog costumes for the teachers- they looked great.
