On Wednesday we had a visit from Mrs Bolt and her High School Band. They played music from Lord of the Rings and Titanic. There were people playing the drums, the saxophone, the clarinet, the flute, the trombone, the trumpet and even the tuba.
This is The high School Choir. They sang songs from the musical Hairspray. We recognised some ex-pupils from Motueka South in the choir. Their teacher Hilary, is trying to get them to be more animated when they sing so our job was to watch carefully to see who sang with the best facial expressions and gestures. Some children in our school might like to join the choir one day as we have some very good singers at Motueka South. (Miss R is NOT one of them though unfortunately!!)
