Saltwater Baths

The Middle Syndicate went on a trip to the Saltwater Baths down at the Motueka Beach. It was a l-o-n-g walk but it was worth it once we got there. We all sat in the shade to have our morning tea first and then each class had a turn at swimming in the baths. Mr Wentworth took all our bags down to the beach on the back of his ute so it made it easier for us to all walk. Even though the tide was out when we got there, the pool was full of water. Lots of people enjoyed jumping in from the side and splashing about.
Those who didn't want to swim spent time fossicking along the beach. There were lots of squeals from girls who were looking for crabs! Some children also built sandcastles and collected shells and feathers they found on the sand.
The playground was heaps of fun too. We tried to see how many people we could fit along the see-saw...
Thanks to all the mums, dads and grandparents who came on our trip with us. We had a fantastic day!
