For maths today we used metre rulers to measure the distance between various buildings around our school. We used chalk to mark off each metre for the really l-o-n-g things such as the tennis courts and the library deck and then recorded it into our books.
Ashlie and Jahmalaki are measuring the length of the bikeshed - it measured 13m altogether
Andrae and Sam H are measuring the length of the sandpit - it measured 10m altogether
Tiana, Jahmalaki and Eva are measuring how far it is from the school office to our classroom- it measured 17m altogether
We now know that 1 metre=100cm or 1000mm
